Ramadan Lights returns for the third year, illuminating the West End

Thursday 27 February 2025: HOLBA are supporting the Aziz Foundation for the launch of Ramadan Lights in the West End, marking the start of the month of Ramadan.

The switch-on took place yesterday evening with Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan in attendance. The lights will illuminate Coventry Street for the third consecutive year between Piccadilly and Leicester Square, from Wednesday 26 February to Sunday 30 March.
Another new addition for 2025 includes ‘Spread the Light’ an interactive installation which symbolises generosity and unity. Visitors can get involved by sending beams of light up through the shimmering gold structure which echoes the impressive aerial light display via a buzzer-like button, to be enjoyed until Tuesday 1 April.

The switch-on brings new enhanced experiences for visitors including an Iftar food trail ‘Ramadan Delights’. HOLBA have partnered with The Aziz Foundation to bring this first halal-friendly food trail, offering a one-of-a-kind experience with a diverse mix of cuisines from North and South American to Italian, Japanese, Indian, and Mediterranean. Members including 1 Leicester Square, Francos, Americana, Shake Shack and Bone Daddies will be offering exclusive discounts, special menus and complimentary treats throughout the month, making breakfast fast a special experience.

Ros Morgan, Chief Executive, HOLBA: “It’s wonderful to support Ramadan Delights, the latest addition to Ramadan Lights, which connects visitors enjoying the spectacular displays with the incredible variety of dining experiences in the heart of London. This initiative not only celebrates the spirit of Ramadan for all to enjoy but also supports our rich and vibrant hospitality sector.”
