West End Businesses to Participate in Best Bar None Accreditation 2024

Tuesday 14 May: Heart of London Business Alliance are again launching the Best Bar None scheme for our evening and night-time venues.

We encourage our members with licensed venues to take part in the scheme and gain an accreditation that recognises their commitment to raising standards, promoting excellence and, in turn, reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in the West End.

In 2023, Heart of London awarded 23 businesses with the accreditation, a record number, demonstrating the West End as a thriving and most importantly, safe destination for all visitors.

Venues are assessed on venue management, staff training and care, customer safety and welfare, and customer service and contribution to the community. Those who achieve the accreditation can access benefits such as:

  • Being added to a nationwide venue list of accredited businesses
  • Access to partnership opportunities through the Best Bar None network
  • Ideas to enhance the work businesses already do with free tools and resources
  • Access to best practice advice and staff training on crime & anti-social behaviour
  • Contributing to the reduction in crime and disorder in the area
  • Successful businesses will also be recognised in an awards ceremony hosted by HOLBA in September 2024.

Andre Gouveia, Director of Food and Beverage, W Hotel said:

“Thanks to this accreditation, we were able to strengthen and implement additional safety nets to guarantee that our bar facilities continue to live up to the priority of keeping safety and the welfare of both our guests and our community as a paramount condition of the highest order. Thank you, Heart of London.”
