11 January: At Heart of London, we work to create a sustainable, healthy environment that is clean, safe and well-managed in the West End.

In order to address the high levels of pollution in London, we work with Veolia Environmental Services to organise and consolidate waste collections to help reduce vehicle movements, congestion and improve air quality.

In 2022, Heart of London and our members reached an incredible achievement by collectively saving 5,180 tonnes of CO2 through the waste collection operators.

There are up to 60 different waste collection operators operating in Westminster alone. By using the Westminster Waste Management & Environmental Services, operated by Veolia Environmental Services, we can reduce the number of vehicles on the road and continue to create a cleaner and greener West End.

All members that sign up for Commercial Waste Services via Heart of London receive a 10% discount on standard prices. On top of this, as you will be appointing a public service, this waste service does not charge VAT, making their prices 20% less expensive than a private waste contractor.
