A new hub for world-class arts and culture
Located in the heart of London, the Arts Quarter will become a new cultural destination, knitting together 250+ years of heritage across theatre, fashion, craft, film and the visual arts.
It will connect the surrounding destinations of Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Piccadilly and Haymarket, with a network of small and characterful streets, bringing them to life with art and culture and create an exciting, new and accessible destination for all.
The Arts Quarter will enable the heart of London area to:
- Invest in creativity, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration
- Generate economic and social value and inclusive growth
- Deliver tangible cultural infrastructure
- Create new investor opportunities
- Support homegrown content and be a platform for London talent
The Arts Quarter is anticipated to bring forward £1 billion of investment and will transform back-of-house streets and buildings in London’s West End into an exciting new and vibrant destination.
Drawing on its character from the surrounding cultural influences of theatre and film, visual arts, and fashion and retail, it presents the opportunity to maximise underused commercial and public realm space, to create jobs, attract international tourists and nurture the next generation of creatives.
