Safer Streets

We provide an on call, rapid assistance 24/7 private security team called My Local Bobby.    

BUSINESS COMMUNITY RADIO  

Join the Business Community Radio network, which enables your business to be informed and updated about disturbances or threats. 

ALERT   

Become a member of the ALERT system, the crime and anti-social behaviour intelligence sharing platform and database of profiles of people seen in the area committing anti-social behaviour and/or criminal acts.

Cleaning, waste & sustainability

We provide extra daily cleaning and waste management beyond council services to keep streets clean for all. Our Sustainability Strategy and Toolkit support businesses in cutting emissions for a net-zero city. 

STREET CLEANING  

We provide a 7-day-a-week programme of sanitisation including the washing of all street bins once a week, daily pavement hot washing and stain removal, daily chewing gum removal and carry out street audits to identify and report issues.  

COMMERCIAL WASTE COLLECTION SERVICE   

Join our Commercial Waste Collection scheme to help us to deliver better air quality, reduce traffic whilst contributing towards a zero-carbon economy. All members receive a 10% discount on waste and 20% discount on recycling services.

SUSTAINABILITY TOOLKIT  

In partnership with Veolia, HOLBA has created a user-friendly Sustainability Toolkit to help members reduce carbon emissions. 

A key feature is the Sustainability Audit, the ideal starting point for your journey. This report assesses your business’s environmental impact—covering energy use, waste and recycling, carbon reduction, servicing and deliveries, and water use—while offering actionable steps and potential cost savings.

PUBLIC REALM SCHEMES  

Our Placeshaping Strategy presents a unified plan for the Heart of London area’s public realm, with five priority schemes for The Arts Quarter, St Martin’s Lane, Charing Cross Road, Sackville Street & Vigo Street, and Green Park.  

Aiming to improve pedestrian routes and cycling provision, and increasing green space, all plans are subject to detailed collaborative design with residents, businesses and other stakeholders, and consents.

We partner with homelessness charity The Connection at St Martin’s. The charity helps over 2,000 homeless people every year to move away from, and stay off, the streets of London.

ROUGH SLEEPING  

When you see someone sleeping rough, use the StreetLink system. It makes sure the local outreach teams are aware of the person and their location, and can send workers out to find them.
