Art of London’s Art After Dark Returns
Wednesday 7 June 2023: Heart of London’s consumer art initiative Art of London has this week announced new dates for the second series of Art After Dark in partnership with Mayfair Art Weekend and Westminster City Council.
Art After Dark is Art of London’s latest public art programme which will enable members of the public to experience headline exhibitions at major galleries as part of their night out in the West End. This is the second instalment as part of a three-part series.
Returning on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 June from 6pm until late, the event will feature some of London’s most acclaimed independent galleries including Cristea Roberts, 3812 Gallery and Stern Pissarro, while on Friday members of the public can absorb culture at the Royal Academy of Arts, National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery.
Mark Williams, Director of Art of London, said: “Art After Dark has opened up the art world to a new generation of night owls who can experience incredible exhibitions, bars and restaurants when visiting the West End. We’re delighted to once again unite leading institutions and galleries and members of the public will discover incredible displays not only inside these iconic spaces but on the streets and even in the sky above them!”.
