London is planning for the next 20–25 years. What could that mean for your business and the West End?

The London Plan is the Mayor’s long-term framework for how London will grow and develop. It shapes how the capital grows and develops through policies covering economic development, transport, commercial space, the environment, public realm and more.

The new draft Plan is now out for consultation, with responses invited from businesses and organisations by 15 October 2026.

With a huge amount of information to navigate, join us for a practical briefing on what businesses actually need to know.

You’ll hear about:

  • Cut through the detail — understand the key proposals that are most relevant to businesses and the West End, without having to work through the full Plan yourself.
  • Understand the potential business implications — from development, commercial space and transport to accessibility, the visitor economy, public realm and the future of the West End.
  • See where the opportunities are — hear where we see opportunities and priorities to support growth, investment and a thriving West End.
  • Shape what happens next — share the issues that matter to your business, helping inform our response to the consultation.

Kanda Consulting will provide a concise introduction to the Plan, followed by Simon Glynn, HOLBA's Head of Place Shaping, who will explore what the proposed changes could mean for the West End.

We’ll then open the discussion to questions and views from members, giving you the opportunity to raise the issues that matter to your business.

Whether you work in retail, hospitality, culture, leisure, offices, property or another sector, this is an opportunity to understand what is being proposed, hear HOLBA’s perspective and help shape our response.
