New 2026 Business Training Programme

Hands-on resilience workshops, free for members

HOLBA provides our members with a free programme of interactive in-person workshops to improve business resilience, safety, and operational capability. This annual programme has been designed to help West End businesses stay ahead with the essential skills needed to operate in a global city.

Sessions are delivered by frontline experts, from the Police Cyber Security Unit to the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO).

Delivered over the year, our programme of sessions cover:

  • Operational resilience, including how to prepare for and respond to unexpected events, disruptions and security threats.
  • Cybersecurity and digital safety awareness to help protect business systems, data and payments.
  • Safety, welfare and vulnerability awareness, including how to respond to incidents and support staff and customers.

How the training is delivered:

  • Sessions run throughout the year so members can schedule learning around operational demands.
  • Content is tailored to the specific needs and risk profile of West End businesses, rather than generic national guidance.
  • Sessions are delivered directly by frontline experts, ensuring authoritative, practical training that staff can immediately apply.
  • Sessions will be in-person, interactive and facilitated, with clear directions and takeaways that can be implemented in every organisation.
  • All training is included as part of HOLBA membership.

HOLBA sessions are not CPD accredited, but members can count participation towards their personal CPD points as relevant professional development.

Providing personal and professional development opportunities is essential in upskilling the business community and in turn, strengthens the competitive business environment across each sector in the West End.
