Christmas lights: road closures and operational updates
The installation and removal of the Christmas lights will require overnight road closures across the West End over the coming months.
Most closures will take place between 9pm or 10pm and 6am.
Businesses that rely on deliveries, servicing or vehicle access should check the relevant area below and plan accordingly.
Waterloo Place to Piccadilly Circus
Light installation: 11–14 October | 10pm–6am
Diversion: Pall Mall → St James’s Street → Piccadilly → Cockspur Street → St Martin’s Place → Charing Cross Road → Shaftesbury Avenue
Light removal: 20–21 January | 10pm–6am

Regent Street St James’s to St James’s Street
Light installation: 27–29 October | 10pm–6am and 24 November | 10pm–6am

Access: Deliveries to Wardour Street between 10pm and midnight must be made on foot.
