Leicester Square’s first-ever ice rink will open this festive season
A brand-new outdoor ice rink will open in Leicester Square this Christmas.
HOLBA has been working with the Underbelly team - the world’s live entertainment company, and Westminster City Council to bring this unique festive experience to life. Skate Leicester Square has been a long-awaited addition, reinforcing Leicester Square’s reputation as a hub for film and entertainment. Attracting 30 million visitors in 2024 alone, the Leicester Square area continues to be one of the capital’s must-visit winter destinations.
Underbelly's Skate Leicester Square is a festive experience designed to bring the community together and provide a backdrop for fun and celebration. Leicester Square’s famous Shakespeare statue will be encircled by the ice rink, creating a captivating centrepiece. Surrounding the rink, a pop-up market will offer a variety of winter-warming food and drink options, as well as seasonal gifts, adding to the festive atmosphere and enhancing the overall experience.
Marketing opportunities:
HOLBA is partnering with Skate Leicester Square to offer marketing opportunities for our local consumer-facing businesses. Member businesses can take part in a special 15% discount on tickets, which can be bundled with your own offer, for example, Skate & Stay or Skate & Dine. These packages will be promoted on both HOLBA and Skate Leicester Square’s websites, social channels, and email campaigns.
