St Martin’s Lane is taking part in the Mayor of London’s new Summer Streets initiative – boosting al fresco dining across the capital.
Supported by HOLBA, submitted by Westminster City Council (WCC) and funded by the Greater London Authority (GLA), the initiative builds on the success of previous pandemic-era schemes, temporarily reimagining the street as a more welcoming space for outdoor dining and street activity, as well as attracting visitors to support our West End businesses.

We’re thrilled that St Martin’s Lane has been selected for the Mayor’s Summer Streets pilot. In a challenging trading environment, this initiative offers a vital opportunity to support the Experience Economy and attract more visitors to the West End. We know the value alfresco dining can bring – not just to trade, but to the vibrancy and character of a place – and we’re proud to be part of a scheme that could help set the direction for the future of central London.
